WHO WE ARE

Who are Valour Youth?

Valour Youth and Adult Service CIC was developed after many years of working with adults and young people who were affected by social challenges through our Charity called Mighty Men of Valour (MMOV).

MMOV has been established since 2002 and has a wealth of knowledge and experience supporting families.

We found that as our work expanded, we were unable to support young people because of the limitations of our name. We found that we were invited to support more families, and this encompasses both young males and females.

To effectively support these young people, Valour Youth was formed as a project in 2012. In 2015 and 2017, we held our first and second Valour Youth Awards as part of MMOV.

In 2020, Valour Youth became a Community Interest Company and the rest, as they say, is history.

Valour Youth CIC delivers Mentoring and Peer Mentoring Programmes in Schools and the community.

We deliver Short breaks and Respite Care to children with disabilities and young people. We hope to soon provide Supported Living and Home Care to young people and adults.

Our
Mission & Values

The aim of Valour Youth is to support our young people to achieve their potential because if these challenges are not addressed in their youth, it will cost the tax payer more money in the future.

Mentors are not there all the time in a child's life, but they are there when strategic life changing decisions must be made.

Our Mentoring projects are there to provide protection, support, care, advice, sounding boards and confidants as well as providing financial support and guidance where applicable.

Valour Youth  is about changing those negative cycles in their lives whilst they are young.

We work closely with Schools, NSPCC, YOS, NHS, local Councils, and other agencies including faith groups to create this change.
